Sunday was such a contrast, the sun shone and you couldn't believe how bad the weather had been the day before! This weekend Weymouth had its annual sea festival, but as the weather was so bad it was cancelled on Saturday.
When the sunshine reappeared so did the crowds!
The effects of the flooding could still be seen. The local Gurkha restaurant was badly damaged.
The swans seemed to be making the most of the extra water!
My husband John went out into the garden to dig up some new potatoes and within a spades depth he met a huge pool of water. The first time that this has ever happened in all the years we have been gardening!
Thank you for Lucent from Australia and Carolyn from New Zealand for hearing about the bad weather and thinking of us.
Welcome to my new followers Tania and Linda, it's nice to meet you and thank you for following me. One of my fellow bloggers Madelief is celebrating her 900th follower by having a giveaway This is open to anyone who leaves her a comment. If you haven't visited her before it is well worth a visit, I have followed her for a long time and she still remains one of my favourite blogs.
